Fitting the Panasonic 655, this replacement pedal (part #AMC47A-L00) releases the handle so you can recline the machine to clean under furniture and along baseboards.
A cracked or broken pedal can lock the handle upright or leave it flopping free, either of which makes the vacuum awkward to steer around furniture. Worn pedals also lose the positive click that holds each reclining position. A fresh pedal restores clean handle release and the detents that keep it set where you want it.
