This genuine OEM Panasonic rear cover fits the MC-V9658 power nozzle neck and is also listed for the MC-CG983 and MC-CG985. The cover encloses the back of the nozzle neck where the wand connects, protecting the internal linkage and wiring at the pivot.
A rear cover that has cracked or gone missing exposes the neck components to dust and knocks and can let the connection flex where it should stay rigid. Installing the correct cover closes the neck back up and keeps the internals protected during everyday steering.
