The Oreck short pigtail cord (part #430000990) is a replacement internal cord segment for the Oreck U2000RB and U2000R-1 uprights, model U2000RB-1. It links the main power cord to the machine's internal wiring across the handle joint.
Because it flexes every time the handle tilts, this short segment is a common failure point. Repeated bending fatigues the conductors inside until the vacuum loses power intermittently or cuts out entirely. Replacing the worn pigtail restores a solid, continuous connection through the joint.
