The Oreck O-Ring Collar is a genuine OEM motor component for the Oreck LW100 and LW1500 Magnesium uprights, including the LW1500RS. Its job is unglamorous but essential: proper motor seals and gaskets prevent the air leaks that quietly rob a vacuum of suction.
If a Magnesium upright has lost power at the nozzle and the usual suspects all check out, worn motor sealing is a likely cause. This collar restores the factory seal around the motor so airflow moves through the carpet rather than around the motor housing.
