Part 09-79067-01 is the joint assembly that connects the handle to the body on Oreck U7200 and U7300 uprights. It is the swivel that lets the machine lie back and steer, and every directional input you give the handle passes through it.
Joints wear from the inside. Play creeps in gradually: a little wobble, then a machine that no longer goes exactly where you point it, then a click at the pivot. Cracks around the joint housing are the end of the road, and once the joint has failed the handle can separate from the body entirely.
A new assembly restores tight, predictable steering and a handle that stays where you set it. It fits the U7200ECB, U7210ECB, U7210ECR, U7211ECB, U7211ECG, U7211ECP, U7211ECR, U7212ECB, U7220ECS, U7230ECS, U7240ECS, U7241ECS, U7250ECS, U7300ECB, U7330ECBS and the UK30300 range.
