This replacement fan housing fits the Oreck XL2000 series uprights in the screw-type, no-ear configuration, and it matches the RU2240HHS. The housing encloses the impeller and directs airflow from the fan toward the exhaust path, holding suction efficiency through the machine.
A housing that has cracked or lost its sealing face leaks air around the impeller, and that lost airflow cuts suction at the nozzle. Fitting the correct housing reseals the fan chamber and returns full airflow.
