This replacement drive belt (part #430001009) fits the Oreck U2000RB-1 and U2000RB2L-1 upright vacuums. The belt links the motor to the brush roll, spinning the roll that lifts dirt and pet hair from carpet fibers.
Drive belts stretch, glaze, and eventually snap with regular use. A worn belt slips and lets the brush roll spin slowly or stop, so the vacuum leaves debris behind even while the motor runs. A stretched belt can also slide off its pulleys entirely. A fresh belt restores full brush roll speed and tension straight out of the package.
