The Nutone Central Vacuum Black Wall End with Crushproof Cuff is the replacement end fitting that connects your central vacuum hose to the wall inlet, compatible with the Nutone 1311. The wall end takes more abuse than almost any other part of the hose, since it gets twisted into the inlet and pulled back out every time you vacuum.
The crushproof cuff is the detail that matters here. It withstands being stepped on, rolled over, and bent around tight corners without collapsing, protecting the connection point where hoses most often fail. A cracked or loose wall end leaks air at the inlet and drags down suction through the entire run of hose.
If suction has dropped and the filter and bag both check out, inspect the wall end before assuming something is wrong deeper in the system.
