Part AXTS3+12KFYY is a nozzle housing screw for the Panasonic MC-V5261 and MC-V5271 uprights. It fastens the nozzle housing — the lower section carrying the brush roll and the floor inlet — to the base of the machine.

It sounds like nothing until one goes missing. A nozzle held by the remaining screws sits slightly proud on one side, and that gap is an air leak right where the vacuum needs all the pressure it can get. The machine rattles over hard floor, the suction at the carpet goes soft, and because everything else checks out, the diagnosis takes far longer than the repair.

Screws also strip out of their bosses after the nozzle has been opened a few times for belt changes. If you are in there anyway, check the rest of them for grip. This one threads into the original hole with a standard driver.
