This Ametek Lamb motor assembly is a 4.3-inch, single-stage, 120-volt thru-flow unit, sold as part 122167-00 and used in utility vacuums including the Hoover GUV. It stands roughly 5 inches tall, runs on sealed double ball bearings, and is rated at 116.8 CFM maximum airflow, 113.2 inches of sealed vacuum and 538 maximum air watts at 12.1 amps.
Thru-flow motors are cooled by the same air they move, so a blocked filter or a packed bag runs them hot. The usual end is a bearing rumble, a burning smell, or a machine that starts and then cuts out.
Two things to check before ordering. Compare the height of your existing motor, since a taller unit will not drop straight in. Hoover installations also need the matching motor bracket, part 59644117, which is sold separately.
