This machine-end hose fitting (Part #54-1300-07) restores an airtight connection where the hose meets the body of your Miele canister and fits the Miele S300 and S400 series canisters. It is the connector at the machine end of the hose.
When that fitting cracks or warps, the seal between hose and vacuum breaks and the canister loses suction right at the connection, often with a telltale whistle of leaking air. A sound replacement fitting closes that gap so full airflow reaches the tools again. It is a small part that makes a clear difference in cleaning power.
