This replacement metal hood fits Sanitaire 888 and 899 commercial uprights and is the no-headlight version. The hood is the outer shell over the motor and fan housing, and it locates internal components while protecting them from impact and debris. It also fits the Sanitaire 7732.
A hood that is dented, cracked, or missing mounting tabs leaves the motor and wiring exposed and can let parts shift out of alignment during hard commercial use. A solid metal hood re-covers the assembly and keeps everything seated where it belongs.
