In a direct-air upright the fan does the actual work. There is no separate suction motor, just an impeller spinning on the motor shaft and pulling everything through the machine. Part 06-0574-01-9 is the metal fan for the Koblenz U310 commercial upright, and it also fits the Koblenz 8600.
Metal is a deliberate choice on a commercial machine. These uprights swallow coins, screws and staples as a matter of routine, and a chipped or bent blade is the usual outcome. Once the fan is out of balance you get vibration through the handle, a rattle or whine that was not there before, and suction that has dropped with no obvious blockage to blame.
Replacing the fan restores proper airflow without touching the motor itself. Unplug the machine before opening the fan housing, and check the fan chamber for debris while you are in there.
