Product details
This metal cap presses over the wheel post on Dirt Devil uprights and holds the wheel captive on its axle. Order it as part 440011133, listed for the Dirt Devil CE6200, CE6300, CE7300 and CE7350.
The cap does one simple job, but it is the only thing stopping the wheel from sliding off the end of its post once the machine is tipped, lifted by the handle, or run hard enough that the post flexes slightly. Age and repeated flexing eventually crack the cap or pop it off the post altogether, and once that happens the wheel starts to work loose. You will notice it as a wheel that wobbles side to side, or one that has already dropped out and left the vacuum scraping along without it.
Pressing on a new cap by hand locks the wheel back onto its post with no tools required and restores the machine's original rolling stability right away. Because this is a wear item on a machine spending most of its life being pushed rather than lifted, look over the machine's other wheel caps while one is already off, since a cracked cap on one post is often an early sign the rest are close behind on a machine of the same age.
- Part: 440011133
- Fits: Dirt Devil CE6200, CE6300, CE7300, CE7350
- Function: metal wheel cap that keeps the wheel seated on its axle post
- Install: press-fit by hand, no tools needed
- Before ordering: check the post itself for wear or a flattened end while the cap is off, since a fresh cap grips a worn post no better than the old one did
Double-check your model number before placing the order. A press-on cap has to match its post exactly to grip, and one sized for a different machine will not seat securely.
