This replacement Kenmore lower cord wand (Part #591004256, also #KC14PDKMZV0X) is the B pipe that connects between the upper wand and the floor nozzle on Kenmore canisters. Its internal cord carries power down to the motorized floor nozzle.
A cracked wand or a broken internal cord leaks air and interrupts power, so suction drops and the nozzle motor can cut out. A sound lower cord wand restores both airflow and a reliable electrical feed to the nozzle.
