The Kenmore lower body shell (Part #KC03ADDUZV04) is a replacement housing for models 116.23110800C, 116.23110801C, 116.28014700, 116.28015700, 116.53110800C, 116.53110801C, 116.58014700, and 116.58015700. It forms the base of the vacuum, enclosing internal parts and supporting the structure that carries the machine.
A lower body that is cracked or split leaks air along the break, which lowers suction and lets the shell flex under load. Broken mounting bosses can also leave internal parts loose. A sound replacement shell seals the airflow path and returns firm structural support.
