This replacement left side geared belt fits the Bissell 8920 ProHeat 2X and drives the brush roll on the left side through toothed engagement. It keeps that side of the brush turning at a steady speed.
A geared belt resists stretch, but it can still crack or lose teeth with age, at which point the brush roll slows and grinding noises may appear. A fresh belt restores consistent rotation and floor-level pickup, so both sides of the brush pull their weight.
