This genuine OEM Kenmore intake/exhaust foam filter (Part #KC37KDDUZV00) fits the Kenmore 81714 and BC4027. The foam element traps dust and debris in the air path before it can reach the motor, and it helps keep the exhaust clean.
As the foam loads with dust, airflow falls and suction weakens, and a neglected filter lets particles slip through toward the motor. Rinsing or replacing the filter restores full airflow and filtration.
