Securing the filter in its compartment, this genuine OEM Kenmore filter cover (Part #KC41KEEXZV06) fits the Kenmore 81214, 81414, and BC4002. The cover holds the filter media against its seat so all airflow passes through the filter.
A warped or cracked cover, or one with broken clips, lets the filter drift and allows unfiltered air to slip past. Replacing the cover returns the filter to a tight, correctly seated fit.
