The jack shaft for the Bissell 1548 Steam Vac is a small drive component that keeps power moving from the motor to the brush roll. When it wears or breaks, the brush roll stops spinning or turns inconsistently, and the machine loses the agitation that deep carpet cleaning depends on.
This is a direct-fit replacement that installs without modification, which makes it a practical repair for anyone comfortable opening the base of the machine.
