Product details
Part 65-3 fits into the machine end of an electric hose on a Sirena water canister, cataloged under reference 109. A single collar here does two jobs at once, sealing off the airway and closing the electrical circuit that drives the power nozzle.
Connecting and disconnecting the hose twists this collar a little each time, and over years that repeated motion wears it toward looseness or an outright crack. Three different complaints can trace back to the same worn part: a thin whistling noise right where the hose meets the canister, pickup that varies depending on how the hose happens to be sitting, or a power nozzle that cuts in and out because its contacts no longer line up squarely against the insert.
Because one fitting is doing double duty, do not assume the problem lives on only one side. A vacuum that seems to run fine but starves the nozzle intermittently, and one that whistles but never loses power, both point back to this same insert simply wearing unevenly.
Pull the plug before touching an electric hose fitting. With the new insert seated, run the machine briefly to confirm steady airflow and a nozzle that starts reliably before putting it back into daily use.
