This replacement 3-prong swivel hose connector adapter (Part #KC02PBZTZV06) fits Kenmore canister models 116.21514010, 116.21514011, 116.21614011, 116.21714110, 116.23204110C, 116.23205110C, and 116.23206110C, including the C44ZDKM, C44ZDMM, C44ZDPV, C44ZDPW, and C44ZDPY sub-builds. It links the hose to the vacuum body and passes power through three contacts to the floor nozzle.
A cracked or worn adapter breaks the airtight and electrical connection, so suction drops at the joint and the power nozzle may lose current. If the hose is hard to seat or you hear air hissing at the coupling, the adapter is the likely cause. A new one restores a secure, swiveling connection.
