This replacement wire opening plug fits Hoover model CH50010 and acts as the cover or grommet that seals the hole where wiring passes through the housing. It cushions the wire against sharp housing edges and closes the opening to dust.
A missing or cracked plug lets the harness chafe on the housing edge and leaves the interior open to dust and rattles. Fitting a fresh plug protects the wire insulation, quiets the machine, and keeps grit out of the housing.
