The Hoover WindTunnel self-propelled upright valve, part 38718013, is the replacement airflow valve that redirects suction between the floor nozzle and the hose on these self-propelled uprights. Every time you switch from carpet cleaning to above-floor work with the hose, this valve routes the airflow to the right place. When it jams or breaks, suction turns weak or shows up at the wrong outlet entirely.
A new valve puts full suction back where you point it, so the machine cleans carpet properly at the nozzle and still delivers real pulling power through the hose. It is a logical part to check when one mode works fine and the other does not.
This valve fits Hoover WindTunnel models U6607-900, U6616-900, U6617-900, U6625-900, U6626-900, U6630-900, U6632-900, U6634-900, U6655-900, and U6660-900, plus UH60000 and UH60010.
