Fitted to the Hoover U4313 upright, this replacement WBD brush cap (Part #36315003) covers and retains the end of the brushroll at the wand-brush-drive side of the housing. It keeps the roll seated on that side.
When the cap cracks or falls off, the brushroll shifts sideways in its seat, which throws off belt alignment and can chew the belt or leave streaks in the carpet. A sound cap holds the roll centered so the belt tracks true and agitation stays even.
