This genuine Hoover valve stem seal is an OEM replacement for SteamVac models, fitting F5869900, F5869960, F5869990, F5871900, F5873900, F5875900, F5882900, and F5883900. It seals around the solution valve stem so cleaning fluid releases only on the trigger.
Once the seal hardens or tears, solution leaks past the stem and drips with the trigger released, wasting fluid and over-wetting the carpet. A fresh OEM seal closes the path so dispensing starts and stops cleanly on command.
