This replacement nozzle height adjustment lever (also #39-7172-02) fits the Hoover U5433 WindTunnel and the model 7173. The lever sets the cleaning head height for different carpet piles and hard floors.
A cracked or broken lever can jam the height setting or leave the nozzle stuck too high or too low, so the machine either scuffs the floor or rides above the carpet. A new lever restores clean height changes and proper floor contact.
