The Hoover Solution Button for the F5914 SteamVac is the trigger mechanism that releases cleaning solution while the machine is working a carpet. Press it and solution sprays; release it and the flow stops. When the button wears or begins to stick, that control turns unpredictable, with solution dispensing unevenly or not at all.
Replacing the button restores smooth, responsive control over solution output, which matters both for cleaning results and for how quickly the carpet dries afterward. It is a sensible first repair when an F5914 stops spraying correctly and the tanks and lines are clear.
