This replacement felt inlet seal sits at the intake port of the Oreck XL21-600ECB upright and fits the Hoover CH95519. The felt forms a soft, airtight barrier where air enters the motor chamber, keeping the airflow on its intended path.
As felt ages it compresses, hardens, or tears, and air then bypasses the intake instead of pulling through the nozzle. That leak shows up as weaker, inconsistent suction. Fitting a fresh felt seal restores the seal and steady airflow.
