The Hoover recovery tank (part #440005716) fits the FH51000 carpet cleaner and holds the dirty water drawn up from the carpet. This genuine OEM tank restores watertight containment so the machine cleans without dripping. Note that it does not include the lid.
A cracked tank, warped gasket, or damaged latch turns a carpet cleaner into a leaky mess and can drip on the floors you just cleaned. Hairline cracks are easy to miss until slow leaks appear. Fitting a sound tank restores a secure, sealed reservoir.
