This is the complete hose for Hoover Portapower and Dial-A-Matic canisters, part 43434239, now supplied in gray rather than the original colour. It comes as a full assembly with both end cuffs, so there is nothing to salvage from the old one.
Hoses on these machines fail from the inside out. The wire helix works through the liner at the flex points nearest each cuff, and the split stays hidden under the sleeve until you bend it. The give-away is above-floor cleaning that has gone weak while floor cleaning is unaffected, and a hiss that changes pitch as you flex the hose.
It fits the Hoover C2093 and C2094 and the CH30000 Portapower, the S7065 commercial canisters, and the S3125-035, S3129, S3159, S3167, S3169, S3171 and S3173 machines. It is also catalogued as 43434223.
