This rubber motor cushion is a replacement for Hoover Conquest models 7069 and 7071, fitting machine C1810. It sits between the motor and the housing to isolate the motor and absorb the vibration it produces during operation.
Once the cushion hardens or crumbles, the motor starts vibrating directly against the housing, which brings on rattling, extra noise, and the risk of longer-term damage. A fresh cushion restores the isolation and returns the vacuum to quieter running.
