The Hoover Machine End Coupling for the Celebrity canister vacuum forms the machine-side half of the hose connection, joining the hose to the canister body on the S3003 and similar models. Every bit of suction the motor produces has to pass through this joint, so its condition directly affects cleaning power at the floor.
Couplings crack from years of flexing and twisting, and a loose or split coupling leaks air that never reaches the cleaning head. If your Celebrity has lost suction but the bag, filter, and hose body all check out, the coupling is a likely culprit.
