Reinforcing the lower bag housing on Hoover models 4557 and 4731, this replacement lower jacket support (Part #36425063) keeps the outer bag jacket aligned with the vacuum body. It braces the jacket in position.
When the support breaks, the bag jacket sags or shifts out of position, and that misalignment disrupts airflow through the bag and stresses the surrounding housing. A sound support holds the jacket square so air moves cleanly through the bag.
