The right-hand latch lock (part 36151020) fits the Hoover F5867 SteamVac, model F5837900, and secures the recovery tank or access panel on the right side of the machine. It holds that side sealed so the tank stays closed while the unit runs and while you carry it.
A latch that cracks or loses tension lets the tank or panel pop open, which can spill recovered water and interrupt the cleaning cycle. On a carry-handle machine that means drips as you lift it. A fresh right-hand latch lock restores a firm, leak-free seal on that side.
