This left-hand latch lock (part 36151021) fits the Hoover F5867 SteamVac, model F5837900, securing the left side of the recovery tank or access panel. It keeps that side clamped shut so the tank stays sealed through the cleaning cycle.
Once the latch breaks or weakens, the tank or panel can spring open partway through a job, letting recovered water leak out and stopping the cycle short. A new left-hand latch lock brings back a tight, leak-free closure so the tank stays put while you work.
