This replacement Hoover gasket fits the 7069 Conquest and model C1800. It seals a joint along the vacuum's airpath so air stays inside the sealed route between sections of the machine.
Even a small gasket that has hardened, flattened, or torn will let air bypass the joint, and that leak shows up as a clear drop in suction at the cleaning head. A fresh gasket reseals the connection so full airflow reaches the nozzle.
