This is the recovery suction nozzle for Hoover SmartWash Generation 2, SmartWash Pet and FlexForce carpet cleaners, sold as Hoover part 440014442. Note the design: it is the version without the spray tip, so compare it against the nozzle on your machine before ordering.
The nozzle is the sealed channel that lifts dirty solution off the carpet and carries it to the recovery tank. Crack it, and it is the lowest and most exposed part of the machine, and the seal is gone. Air rushes in through the split instead of through the carpet, the machine leaves streaks of standing water behind, and the tank stops filling at the rate it used to.
It fits the SmartWash and FlexForce machines whose numbers end in FDI, G, GPC, GPD, V or VCD, among them the FH52000, FH52001G, FH52002G, FH52005GCD, FH52023V, FH53000, FH53000CPC, FH53000PC, FH53000PDI, FH53000TV1 and FH53050.
