The Hoover Fusion upright duct cover, part 93001689, is the replacement cover that seals the airflow channel running through the body of Fusion series vacuums. Air has to stay inside that channel all the way to the dust cup, and a cracked or missing cover lets it escape early. The drop in suction at the floor is sharp and hard to miss.
The cover snaps into place and closes the pathway again, so the vacuum pulls dirt up out of the carpet instead of drawing air from the wrong spot. If a Fusion suddenly seems weak while the filters and dust cup are clean, this small part is a likely culprit and an easy fix.
It fits Hoover Fusion models U5180-900, U5180-910, U5182-900, U5183-900, and U5185-900, along with UH70005B, UH70060, and UH70070.
