Product details
Part 40112050 is the filter assembly that mounts inside a Hoover FloorMate's recovery tank, screening debris out of the reclaimed water before it reaches the vacuum motor. Coverage spans the FH40000, FH40005, FH40010 and FH40030 models plus the older H3000 line, which includes the H3030, H3040, H3044, H3050 and H3060.
Positioned between the water just picked up and the motor drawing it in, this filter absorbs the worst of whatever the floor was hiding. Once it clogs, or the media gives way under load, the machine's lifting ability drops off: water lingers behind the squeegee instead of making it into the tank, floors take noticeably longer to dry, and the recovery tank fills at a pace that does not match the mess actually being picked up.
- Part: 40112050, recovery tank filter assembly
- Fits: Hoover FH40000, FH40005, FH40010, FH40030, and H3000-series (H3030, H3040, H3044, H3050, H3060) FloorMate machines
- Watch for: water left behind the squeegee or a tank that fills slower than expected
Give it a rinse after every few tanks of use. Once rinsing no longer clears the matting or the media begins breaking apart at its edges, that is the cue to fit a new one rather than clean this one again. Let it air dry completely before reinstalling, since sealing damp media back into the housing just gives whatever remains in it a place to sit and grow instead of drying out properly. Setting it on a towel to dry between tanks is usually enough time to keep it working without adding much to the cleaning session.
