This flat drive belt fits the Hoover Elite upright and is also compatible with the Dirt Devil UD70065. It loops from the motor shaft to the brush roll, turning motor power into the agitation that lifts dirt from carpet pile.
Drive belts stretch and eventually snap with heat and use, and a slack or broken belt lets the brush roll slow or stop so the carpet stops getting groomed. Fitting a fresh belt restores full brush-roll speed and effective cleaning between service intervals.
