Made for the Hoover Dimension canister vacuum, this blue bumper cushions the body against impacts with walls and furniture during everyday cleaning. It is the sacrificial layer between a machine that gets dragged room to room and the surfaces it inevitably meets along the way.
A bumper that has cracked, split, or fallen off leaves two things exposed. Your painted trim and furniture take scuffs from bare plastic edges, and the vacuum's outer casing begins to chip and wear at the contact points. Both problems are cheaper to prevent than to repair.
