The lock assembly cap (Part #41119008) is a replacement cap for the Hoover Conquest that secures internal components and keeps the body panels properly fastened. It fits Conquest models C1800, C1800-010, C1800-020, C1810, C1810-010, and C1810-020.
A cracked or missing cap lets those parts shift during use, which brings on rattling and, over time, component damage as pieces work against each other. A sound cap clicks back into position and holds everything where it belongs.
