This OEM transmission pulley fits the Hoover Concept series, and the U3101, transferring drive belt motion to the brush roll mechanism. The pulley takes the belt's rotation and passes it into the transmission that spins the brush roll, so it sits directly in the drive path.
A worn or cracked pulley lets the belt slip on its face or lose its grip, which can slow or stop the brush roll and cut cleaning effectiveness. A sound pulley restores solid contact with the belt and steady power to the brush roll.
