Part 2KE2105000 is the cloth outer bag with its attached gasket, listed under both names: the Royal RY4000 and RY4001 on one side, the Hoover C2401 and C2401010 on the other. The gasket, more than the fabric itself, is what keeps the unit airtight at the point where the bag meets the housing.

Failure here rarely arrives all at once. A seam gives out at a stress point, the weave itself turns porous as years of fine dust work through the fibers, or the gasket simply loses its give and can no longer press flush against the housing the way a new one does. Any of the three shows up the same way to the operator: a faint haze of dust drifting from the bag mouth, or suction that stays flat even right after a fresh bag change.

Shake the bag out on a regular schedule rather than judging by feel, since a loaded shell cuts airflow well before it looks packed, and inspect the gasket edge for cracking or a permanently flattened profile whenever the bag comes off the machine, and replace the bag and gasket together rather than assuming a fresh bag on its own will stop a leak at the collar. A gasket that has taken a set keeps its flattened profile even off the machine, which is the quickest way to tell it apart from one that is only dirty.
