The Hoover canister detent spring, part 35276008, is a small replacement spring used across a wide range of Hoover canister vacuums, including the Dimension, Spectrum, Futura, WindTunnel, Anniversary, and TurboPower series. This is the spring behind the positive click you feel when components lock into position. When it breaks, latches and adjustments feel loose and will not hold where you set them.
A new detent spring brings back that solid, secure feel and keeps fittings locked in place while you clean. It is an easy part to overlook and an easy one to replace.
