This replacement brush roll with magnet fits the Oreck U2000RB-1 and U2000RB2L-1 uprights and the Hoover CH50200. The bristles agitate carpet pile to loosen debris, while the built-in magnet triggers the Hall sensor that monitors roll speed and guards the drive belt.
Bristles flatten and wear with use, and once the roll stops agitating or the magnet drifts out of position, carpet cleaning falls off and the sensor can misread roll speed. A fresh brush roll returns full agitation and correct sensing.
