The Hoover BreathEasy upright duct cover, part 38656033, is the replacement cover that seals the internal air pathway running from the nozzle to the bag compartment on these uprights. Airflow only cleans carpet when it stays inside the system, so a cracked or missing duct cover means air escapes early, suction drops at the floor, and more dust ends up drifting around the room instead of landing in the bag.
