Returns & Exchanges

Because the valve sits between the two airflow paths rather than inside either one alone, a fault here shows up in a distinctive way: suction weakens noticeably on one setting while the other still performs normally. That pattern usually points to one of three things going wrong inside the assembly: a cracked valve body, a surrounding seal that has hardened with age and stopped flexing to close properly, or a linkage no longer swinging the valve fully from one position to the other when the control is moved. Any of these three leaves both paths partly open simultaneously, so the air takes whichever route offers less resistance rather than the one actually chosen at the switch.
