This 2-pack of Hoover upright belts (part 38528040) fits Hoover 12 Amp Elite models. Each belt links the motor to the brush roll so it turns at full speed for effective carpet agitation.
A drive belt stretches and glazes with use, and once it slips the brush roll slows or stops, leaving dirt worked down into the carpet. Fitting a fresh belt returns the brush roll to full speed, and the second belt in the pack keeps a spare ready for the next change.
